OUR CLASSROOMS

AIM have two campus locations; American International Montessori on Martin Luther King Jr. Way and Berkeley International Montessori (BIM) on Bancroft Avenue. While AIM campus have classrooms from the Infant Community to the Upper Elementary in both Japanese and Mandarin Chinese immersion programs, BIM campus has a smaller, at-home Japanese Children's House program.

INFANT COMMUNITY (AIM CAMPUS)

  • Montessori-trained, native-speaking Japanese and Mandarin teachers in each classroom.

  • Classroom is assigned by the school.

  • Choosing the language track is required prior to the enrollment.

  • Switching between language programs is not accepted once enrollment is confirmed. 

CHINESE CHILDREN'S HOUSE (AIM CAMPUS)

  • Mandarin Chinese immersion program for 3-6  years old.

  • Montessori-trained, native-speaking Mandarin teachers.

JAPANESE CHILDREN'S HOUSE (AIM CAMPUS)

  • Japanese immersion program for 3-6 years old.

  • Montessori-trained, native-speaking Japanese teachers.

  • Transferring to BIM Children's House is not accepted once enrollment is confirmed.  

JAPANESE CHILDREN'S HOUSE (BIM CAMPUS)

  • On a separate campus on Bancroft Avenue, Berkeley. 

  • Japanese immersion program for 3-6 years old.

  • Montessori-trained, native-speaking Japanese teachers.

  • Transferring to AIM Children's House is not accepted once enrollment is confirmed.

LOWER ELEMENTARY (AIM CAMPUS)

  • Mandarin Chinese or Japanese immersion track for 6 - 9 years old, 1st - 3rd grades

  • A dedicated team of trained and experienced teachers, each speaking one language (Mandarin, Japanese and English)

UPPER ELEMENTARY (AIM CAMPUS)

  • Mandarin Chinese or Japanese immersion track for 10 - 12 years old, 4th to 6th grades

  • A dedicated team of trained and experienced teachers, each speaking one language (Mandarin, Japanese and English)
